The fourth annual PR%F Awards took place on November 5-6, 2022, at the William F. Harrah College of Hospitality at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). In 2022, the PR%F Awards became the first spirits and wine competition to collaborate with a top-accredited university, providing a valuable educational experience for students while maintaining its reputation as one of the largest and most respected competitions in the industry.

More than 40 hospitality students worked behind the scenes, gaining hands-on experience in competition management, logistics, and operations. The collaboration extended beyond the event, with PR%F Awards judges and partners integrating into the college curriculum, mentoring students, and providing real-world insights into the beverage industry.

PR%F Awards 2022 welcomed an exciting lineup of celebrity guests who brought their energy and passion to the competition. Michael Shapiro, founder and lead singer of Reckless in Vegas, joined the festivities. He could be found engaing with judges and enjoying the spirits and wine selections. His band, known for its high-energy renditions of iconic songs, performs at the Sahara Theatre in Las Vegas.

Rock legends from Raiding the Rock Vault also took part in the event, bringing the spirit of classic rock to the awards. Keith St. John, known for his vocals in Montrose, Kingdom Come, and Lynch Mob attended. Also taking part was Sarah Jessica Rhodes, lead vocalist from Absinthe. The celebrities immersed themselves in the tastings while rocking out to the experience. Raiding the Rock Vault, which showcases anthems from legendary bands like The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith, and AC/DC, continues to be a must-see show at The Duomo inside Rio Las Vegas.

Adding to the vibrant atmosphere, The Docksiders, a premier Yacht Rock group led by three-time Grammy™ Award nominee Kevin Sucher, made an appearance. The Docksiiders delivers the smooth, feel-good sounds of the ’70s and ’80s. The band, which recently completed its residency at The Duomo inside Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino, embodies the essence of yacht rock, a genre celebrating the laid-back, breezy music of the era.

Las Vegas entertainment icon Jeff Civillico, a top live emcee, headliner, and entertainer, also joined as a guest judge. With over 5,000 shows at venues including The LINQ, The Flamingo, and Paris Hotel & Casino, Jeff brought his signature blend of comedy, action-packed stunts, and world-class juggling to the event, adding a dynamic flair to the judging panel.
