ABOUT PR%F AWARDS
PR%F Awards is more than just a competition—it’s a direct pathway to getting your brand in front of the decision-makers who can put your product on their shelves. Unlike traditional beverage competitions judged by critics or enthusiasts, our panel is made up exclusively of beverage buyers from major retail chains, hospitality venues, distributors, cruise lines, airlines, nightclubs, and more.
Every product entered is tasted and evaluated by real buyers actively looking for new brands. Whether you’re seeking distribution, retail placement, or expanded market visibility, PR%F Awards offers an unmatched opportunity to get your product in front of those who make the purchasing decisions.
Our unique 100-point rating system allows multiple brands to achieve recognition in their category without competing for limited placements. Winners also receive extensive industry exposure, including coverage in PR%F the Magazine and Food & Beverage Magazine, reaching over 14 million industry professionals globally.
By entering PR%F Awards, you’re not just competing—you’re being discovered by the buyers who matter most.
PR%F Awards welcomes entries from brands, distillers, producers, owners, distributors, and marketing/PR agencies from around the world. If you are not the brand owner, you must have permission to submit an entry.

For Infused Beverage Competition entries, a Certificate of Analysis (COA) is required. Please submit it to [email protected].
PR%F Awards includes a diverse range of spirits, wines, RTDs, infused beverages, mixers, and non-alcoholic drinks. Categories cover everything from craft spirits and fine wines to functional beverages, sodas, energy drinks, teas, coffees, and cocktail enhancers.

ENTRY INFO
When you enter PR%F Awards, your submission is evaluated in two separate judging formats:
- Masked – A double-blind tasting, ensuring an unbiased evaluation based purely on taste.
- Unmasked – A review of branding, design, ingredients, pricing, and packaging, giving your product the opportunity to stand out visually.
By entering, you get two chances to win medals in a single competition.
Submission Requirements:
- PR%F Awards – Spirits/Wine/Beverage Competition
- Spirits/Wine: Submit three (3) bottles (750ml) per SKU.
- Waters, Teas, Coffees, etc.: If packaged in single-use bottles or cans, submit 12 of each SKU.
- PR%F Awards – RTD Competition
- Submit 12 sample cans, bottles, or pouches per SKU entered.
- PR%F Awards – Infused Competition
- Submit 12 sample cans, bottles, or pouches per SKU entered.
- Important: Infused beverages must also submit a Certificate of Analysis (COA) to [email protected].

Once your entry is submitted, be sure to complete your payment to receive a confirmation receipt. Next, send your product samples for judging. Entries will not be refunded if samples do not arrive on time, so please ship promptly.

Local Drop-Off: If you’re in Las Vegas, you can hand-deliver your samples Monday–Friday, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Please label all submissions with PR%F Awards.

Your entry fee covers the full participation in the competition, including entry into both the Masked (tasting) and PR%F Awards-Unmasked (total package). This fee includes:
- Entrance into one competition
- One medal of honor if your brand wins
- A photo of your bottle with a medal for social media sharing
- A press release template to customize and distribute
- Worldwide publicity via PR%F the Magazine and Food & Beverage Magazine
Additional medals can be purchased for $20 each. Our website merchandise, including bottle tags, stickers, and more, is available for separate purchase in the Merch tab.
We are committed to delivering the PR%F Awards every year, and we do not anticipate cancellations. Even in challenging times (like in 2020), we managed to hold the event, and we will continue to offer the competition as planned.
However, if you pay for your entry but fail to submit your bottles by the deadline, you will not be eligible to participate, and no fees will be refunded. Be sure to submit your samples early to ensure your participation!

Our judges are buyers—and that’s what makes PR%F Awards different from other competitions. We specifically select distributors, big-box retailers, and multi-location liquor store owners who have the power to place products on shelves. Our panel consists of top-level industry experts with hundreds of years of combined experience in evaluating quality, taste, price point, and marketability.
Our mission is simple: to connect your brand directly with buyers looking for new products. If a judge likes your product, you could be on your way to securing distribution.
PR%F Awards is structured into three separate competitions, allowing buyers to focus on the categories that align with their purchasing needs. This means direct access to the right buyers for your brand.
Judges are not paid. They dedicate two days in Las Vegas specifically to discovering new and emerging products to bring back to their venues.

Each year, we bring in new judges, which means new opportunities for your brand to get noticed. At PR%F Awards, your product is placed directly in front of 80-100 potential buyers—decision-makers from airlines, cruise lines, major retailers, independent liquor stores, casinos, hotels, bars, restaurants, distributors, and more.
By entering year after year, you stay top-of-mind with buyers, gain ongoing exposure, and increase your chances of landing new placements. Plus, winners receive media coverage, medals, and features in PR%F Magazine.

Each entry is scored using a 100-point proprietary judging sheet, evaluating:

We use a two-step judging process:
1️⃣ Double-blind tasting – Judges evaluate taste without seeing the brand, packaging, or price point.
2️⃣ Unmasked evaluation – Judges then see the full package to assess design, branding, and marketability.
Unlike traditional competitions, we do not judge brands against each other. Instead, each brand is scored individually based on its own merits. This means multiple top awards can be given in a single category—or none at all if the products don’t meet our high standards.

After the PR%F Awards, we carefully tally the thousands of hand-written ballots and calculate the scores. We’ll send you a formal letter and graphics showcasing your wins and scores – a great bonus! 🎉 You’ll also receive a winner’s graphic for use on social media, websites, and print materials.
All winners are featured in the digital PR%F the Magazine – Winner’s Edition, a 100+ page special edition distributed in partnership with Food and Beverage Magazine, reaching over 15 million readers monthly. Additionally, it’s sent to our PR%F Awards database of 250,000 beverage buyers.
Yes, we offer post-award advertising and editorial opportunities, and we will contact all winning brands when those opportunities become available.
If you win a medal (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Double Gold, or Century Award), your medals will be mailed to the main contact listed in The Data Still (the account you entered the competition with) within about 60 days. If the main contact changes, please update the information to ensure correct delivery.
Judges (beverage buyers) receive your details and may reach out to you at any time during the year. We distribute our winners’ magazine quarterly to keep your brand visible throughout the year.
AWARDS
Not necessarily. Medals are awarded based on the points each entry earns. For example, some categories may have multiple golds or none at all, depending on the results.
- Winners will be notified via email within a few weeks of the event, along with graphics for sharing. 📧
- Winners are featured in PR%F the Magazine – Winner’s Edition, a special 250+ page digital publication, distributed to 15 million monthly readers of Food and Beverage Magazine and 250,000 beverage buyers in our database.
- We’ll post the results on our website at www.proofawards.com.
- Medals are mailed to the main contact listed in The Data Still. If this contact changes, please update us to ensure correct delivery.
- In addition to competition medals, we also offer special recognition medals: Women-Owned, Veteran-Owned, and Kosher Certified. Be sure to inform us of these certifications to receive the corresponding medals.
- You’ll receive a set of medals with your entry. Additional medals can be purchased for $20 each. Contact us at [email protected] to request extra medals.
- A customizable press release template will be provided to announce your win.
Yes! We’re excited to recognize every brand entering the PR%F Awards. We announce all entrants with a graphic featuring your product to let the public know you’ve entered one of the most prestigious competitions. Social media posts will appear on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn, reaching millions of viewers, including 14 million readers through our partner Food & Beverage Magazine. We celebrate all our entrants and winners, including Bronze, Silver, Gold, Double Gold, and Century Award recipients!

We use a proprietary points system to determine medals in each category.
In addition to the traditional competition medals, we offer special recognition medals for businesses with specific certifications. These are not based on points but are meant to honor important achievements:
- Women-Owned Business: To receive the Women-Owned Business Honor, enter your brand in its regular category and notify us that you’re a certified women-owned business. You’ll receive a metallic pink medal to celebrate this unique recognition.
- Kosher Certified: Enter your brand in its original category and send us a copy of your Kosher certification. You’ll receive a metallic blue medal to honor this certification.
- Veteran-Owned: Enter your brand in its original category and share your veteran status with us. You’ll receive a white medal to recognize your service.
These medals serve as honors to help you market your special certifications. Please email us your certifications to [email protected].
Yes! Each year, we offer special awards based on the unique qualities of the entrants and the judges’ evaluations. The categories for these awards may vary, but some examples include “Most Innovative Spirit”, “Best in Show” (across multiple categories), and “Best in Show – Design” (for exceptional product design). While the specific awards may change annually, you can always count on the Best of Show award being a highlight! 🏆
These special awards will be featured on our results pages, as well as in PR%F the Magazine and across our social media channels. 🌟
BAR GADGETS
Bar gadgets categories are included in the Original PR%F Awards competition. Please send in three (3) bar gadgets, along with instructions on how to use each one. If the gadget comes in packaging, include one marketing package for our judges to review. If you’re submitting a small appliance (e.g., blender), just one unit is required for the competition. If there are special instructions, please include those as well. 🛠️
